Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be currently employed or planning to work on construction sites where fall hazards exist.
- Basic understanding of construction site safety practices is recommended.
- Must be able to recognize and follow general safety instructions.
- Valid government-issued photo ID may be required for verification.
- Prior training in Site Safety or OSHA construction safety courses is recommended but not mandatory.
Description
The 8-Hour Fall Prevention course is designed for construction workers, supervisors, and safety personnel to reduce the risk of falls on construction sites. This comprehensive training covers hazard recognition, fall protection systems, and safe work practices in accordance with OSHA and New York City Department of Buildings regulations.
Participants will learn how to identify fall hazards, select and properly use personal protective equipment (PPE), set up and inspect fall protection systems, and implement preventive measures to protect themselves and others. Emphasis is placed on practical, real-world scenarios to improve workplace safety and ensure compliance with city and federal safety standards.
Upon completion, participants will be prepared to work safely at heights, reduce fall-related incidents, and maintain regulatory compliance on active construction projects.
