Requirements
• No prior scaffold training is required to enroll in this SST-only course.
• Students must have a computer, laptop, tablet, or smartphone compatible with SafeTek's online learning platform and a reliable internet connection.
• A valid government-issued photo ID is required for student identity verification.
• Students must have a working camera and microphone where required by the course's verification or proctoring system.
• Students must complete all four instructional hours, required participation activities, assessments, and course evaluations.
• Students seeking SST card credit must also meet the applicable NYC DOB training and eligibility requirements.
Description
The 4-Hour Supported Scaffold User & Refresher Course is an NYC DOB-approved Site Safety Training (SST) course designed to help construction workers understand the safe use of supported scaffolds and recognize common scaffold-related hazards.
Students will learn about supported scaffold components, safe access, fall protection, falling-object protection, load capacities, electrical hazards, scaffold inspections, and the responsibilities of scaffold users and competent persons.
This course is intended for construction workers, supervisors, and other personnel who use or work around supported scaffolds and need applicable NYC DOB Site Safety Training credit.
IMPORTANT NOTES
• This online course provides four hours of training toward applicable NYC DOB SST requirements.
• This offering is the SST-only version of the course. It does not independently qualify a student for a separate NYC DOB Supported Scaffold User card.
• Students who need a Supported Scaffold User card must complete the separately approved Scaffold Card and SST version through an authorized delivery method.
• Students must complete all required instruction, participation activities, assessments, and identity verification procedures.

UPON SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION
Students will receive a 4-Hour Supported Scaffold User & Refresher (SST Only) course completion certificate. This course provides four hours of training toward applicable New York City DOB Site Safety Training requirements.
Students who require a separate Supported Scaffold User card must enroll in the Scaffold User Card and SST version of the course.
DOB-ACCEPTED ONLINE TRAINING
This course is delivered through SafeTek's online learning platform using the identity verification, attendance monitoring, and participation controls applicable to its approved SST delivery method.
Students must complete the training under their own identity and may be required to verify their identity throughout the course. Active proctoring may be required. Successful completion of all instructional, assessment, and verification requirements is necessary before a certificate can be issued.
