Requirements
• A valid NYC DOB SST Supervisor Card eligible for renewal, or a card that expired on or after May 3, 2026, and remains within its one-year renewal grace period.
• A copy of the student's current or expired SST Supervisor Card for expiration-date and eligibility verification.
• Valid government-issued photo identification.
• Completion of both the 8-Hour Chapter 33 and 8-Hour Fall Prevention courses, including all required instructional hours and assessments.
• Submission of all required documentation before SST Supervisor Card renewal and processing.
• For any approved online components, a compatible device, reliable internet connection, and a working camera and microphone where required.
Description
The 16-Hour SST Supervisor Refresher Package is designed for construction supervisors who need to renew their NYC Department of Buildings (DOB) Site Safety Training (SST) Supervisor Card. The package combines 8-Hour Chapter 33 training with 8-Hour Fall Prevention to reinforce construction safety requirements, supervisory responsibilities, hazard recognition and fall protection practices.
The package includes SST Supervisor Card renewal and processing for eligible students who successfully complete both courses and submit all required documentation.
WHO THIS PACKAGE IS FOR
This package is intended for construction supervisors who currently possess a valid NYC DOB SST Supervisor Card and need to renew it. It is also intended for eligible supervisors whose cards expired on or after May 3, 2026, and remain within the one-year renewal grace period.
Students whose cards expired before May 3, 2026, or whose one-year grace period has ended, must follow the applicable new-card training pathway instead.

Total: 16 instructional hours across 2 courses.
IMPORTANT NOTES
• SST SUPERVISOR CARD INCLUDED: Renewal and card processing are included for eligible students who successfully complete both courses and submit all required documentation.
• Students with valid SST Supervisor Cards may complete the required refresher training and apply for renewal.
• Students whose cards expired on or after May 3, 2026, have a one-year grace period from their card's expiration date to complete their renewal requirements.
• Students whose cards expired before May 3, 2026, are not eligible for the one-year grace period and must follow the applicable new-card training pathway.
• Students whose cards expired on or after May 3, 2026, but are now beyond the one-year grace period, must also follow the applicable new-card training pathway.
• An expired SST Supervisor Card cannot be used on a construction site, including during the one-year grace period.
• Students must submit their existing or expired SST Supervisor Card, valid photo identification and any other documentation required for renewal processing.
• All training must be completed personally by the registered student. For approved online components, identity verification, participation monitoring and applicable assessments are required.
• SST Supervisor Card issuance is subject to verification of the student's training records, expiration date and applicable DOB requirements.

UPON SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION
Upon successful completion of both courses, eligible students receive the applicable course completion certificates and a renewed NYC DOB SST Supervisor Card. SST Supervisor Card renewal and processing are included in this package, subject to verification of all required documentation, training records and DOB eligibility requirements.
COURSE DELIVERY
Students must complete the full instructional hours and assessments for both courses. Each course must be delivered in the format covered by SafeTek's current DOB approval. Any approved online training must be completed personally by the registered student, including required identity verification and participation monitoring.
