Requirements
• Students must provide valid government-issued photo identification for enrollment and identity verification.

• Students must wear appropriate work clothing and bring any personal protective equipment specified by SafeTek for practical exercises.
• Students must complete the required written and practical assessments.
• Students pursuing a Master Rigger license must independently satisfy all applicable DOB experience, examination and licensing requirements.
Description
The 32-Hour Rigging Supervisor Course (CRA-301) is an NYC DOB-approved, in-person training program designed for individuals who supervise rigging operations involving the hoisting or lowering of suspended materials on the outside of buildings in New York City.
This course combines classroom instruction with hands-on training in rigging equipment, load calculations, sling selection, signaling, lift planning, equipment inspection and hazard prevention. Students will develop the knowledge and practical skills needed to supervise rigging operations safely.
The course is intended for individuals seeking to satisfy NYC DOB rigging supervisor training requirements and eligible applicants pursuing a Master Rigger license.
IMPORTANT NOTES
• This is an in-person course consisting of 32 instructional hours, excluding breaks and meals.
• The course includes classroom instruction and substantial hands-on practical training.
• The maximum class size is 30 students.
• Students must attend all required sessions and complete the course assessments.
• Rigging supervisors following the DOB training pathway must complete a 16-Hour Rigging Supervisor Refresher four years after initial training and every four years thereafter.
• Completion does not independently grant a Master Rigger license or replace other applicable qualification requirements.

UPON SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION
Students will receive a 32-Hour Rigging Supervisor course completion certificate. This training satisfies the applicable initial NYC DOB rigging supervisor course requirement and may be used toward a Master Rigger license application by eligible candidates who meet all other DOB requirements.
IN-PERSON TRAINING
This course is conducted in person by an instructor and combines classroom learning with practical rigging exercises. Students must attend the scheduled sessions, participate in hands-on activities, demonstrate the required skills and complete all course assessments before receiving a certificate.
