The 2-Hour Pre-Task Meeting Course (SST-303) is an NYC DOB-approved Site Safety Training (SST) course designed to teach construction workers and supervisors how to prepare for and conduct effective pre-task safety meetings before beginning construction activities.
This course explains the importance of identifying job-specific hazards, reviewing work procedures, selecting appropriate safety controls, and communicating expectations to everyone involved in a task. Students will learn how pre-task meetings relate to Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), the role of competent persons, and the importance of worker participation in preventing accidents.
The course is intended for construction workers, supervisors, foremen, competent persons, and other personnel responsible for planning or participating in daily construction activities.
Important Notes:
• This course provides two hours of approved NYC DOB Site Safety Training.
• It is included in the training requirements for a new SST Supervisor Card.
• It may also be used as part of eligible SST Worker and Supervisor Card renewal options when combined with the other required courses.
• This is awareness-level training and does not independently qualify a student to act as a competent person or construction supervisor.
• The course requires two full instructional hours, excluding breaks.
• Students must complete all required instruction, participation activities, and assessments to receive a completion certificate.
